When to go
- The dry season, November to April, is the best time to sail. Book 3–6 months ahead for peak season. [WI Yachts]
What you need: licence or skipper
- For a bareboat you'll typically need an ICC, a USCG captain's licence or ASA 104 or higher. [WI Yachts]
- Without a licence, you can add a skipper from €150 a day. [Yochting]
